Alka Pool is proud to be British Columbia’s only Master Pool member.   Alka Pool is an active participant of the Master Pools Guild and has been since 1978.

The Master Pools Guild is a network of elite pool craftsmen from around the world. For more than four decades, the Master Pools Guild has carefully selected its members from each region based upon their craftsmanship, commitment to quality, customer service and business ethics. Only those who consistently maintain those standards are permitted to remain.

Guild members are committed to the highest standards of ethics and excellence. Guild members attend special seminars and meetings several times a year to keep their membership informed and up to date with the latest in pool building techniques, phases of construction, products and general education in the pool and spa industry.

Master Pool members also have the advantage of access to exclusive products for its members such as the “Turbo Clean System”. Stay tuned for new products in 2007.

A winner of the guild’s top awards and honours, ALKA POOLS leads the way in BC’s pool industry and has earned a reputation for building pools, whirlpools and waterscapes that meet the highest professional standards.

As a member of the Master Pools Guild we are dedicated to the following principles and policies.

Code of Ethics 

1. to hold inviolate the concepts of free enterprise and unselfish service to the public.
   
   
2. to continually strive to gain respect for the industry, both on the local community and national level.
   
   
3. to make the largest contribution possible to the health, safety and welfare of the public in the installation, maintenance and operation of the swimming pools.
   
   
4. to support all efforts to improve swimming pool products and service, and to encourage research and the development of new materials and methods.
   
   
5. to advertise and sell merits of their own products and refrain from attacking competitors or reflecting unfairly on their product, service, or methods of doing business.
   
   
6. to reveal all the materials facts, to avoid concealment of information, and to refrain from the use of innuendoes in advertising and selling that might cause customers to be misled, so that the truth about their services or products may be fully understood by the trusting as well as analytical.
   
   
7. to advertise only bonafide prices and products and to refrain from the use of “bait” advertising methods.
   
   
8.  to design or build in a manner compatible in every respect with public health and safety, and to comply with all applicable laws, ordinance or regulations.
   
   
9. to fulfill all contractual obligations, to offer a reasonable warranty of products and services, and to perform on such warranty, either written or implied, where justifiable claims are in order, and to do this without hesitation.
   
   
10. to refrain from owning, investing in, joining, advising, operating, being employed by, or otherwise participating in, directly or indirectly, any organization similar to the Master Pools Organization.
