Larry Sovernigo

With 51 years of construction experience and a European commitment to craftsmanship, Larry has made Alka Pools the leader that it is today. He purchased what was then a small company from his brother Graziano in 1971, immediately introducing procedures that would make a good product and service even better. He joined the Master Pools Guild in 1978, achieving new levels of excellence and industry recognition. Under his management, Alka has flourished and developed a reputation for quality that no other BC pool company can touch.

Amedeo Sovernigo

Amedeo has been with Alka Pool since 1965, purchasing the company with his brother Larry in 1971. His industry experience goes back to 1959, and today this master craftsman oversees the building of all our projects. Known for his attention to detail and high standards in construction, Amedeo monitors every phase of the pool, from excavation to finishing. Together Amedeo and Larry have built over 1500 pools throughout BC, making Alka the leading pool construction company in the province.

Carla Sovernigo

Carla grew up in the family pool business and has frequented job sites from a young age. In 1990 she came to Alka full-time and is currently the General Manager. With a technical diploma in Marketing and Real Estate Studies from BCIT, she has been involved in Alka’s marketing, accounting, contracts, and systems management. Growing up around so much water has given her a deep appreciation for its beauty and ability to soothe, whether in nature or in the art of man-made waterscapes that bring pleasure to so many BC homes.

Raff Sovernigo

Born into the family business, Raff has been involved in pool construction for most of his life. He joined Alka full-time in 1993 and discovered his real passion. Every pool, spa, site and customer are unique in their own way, and all present an exciting challenge to build a new work of beauty. He is honoured to continue the family tradition of exceeding customer expectations, and proud to be a leading member of a team that is second to none.

Rob Danieli

Rob has been with Alka for over 20 years, and customers value both his experience and his enthusiasm. With a background in engineering and a passion for design, he enjoys the creative potential inherent in any project. It’s exciting to collaborate with the customer, architect, landscape designer and builder to create the best pool possible every time. Integrity drives his approach to customer service, and he’s proud to be part of an organization that sees its promises through.

Robert Casanova

Robert manages Alka’s projects, with organizational abilities that ensure your pool is built to our highest standards. With a Bachelor of Science from UBC, he brings experience from such diverse organizations as BC Tel, Stentor Resources Inc., and WCB. Managing Alka’s projects allows him to watch the customer’s dream unfold every step of the way, and his personal goal is to make each client’s experience a pleasure from start to finish.
